Entry Types & In Bond
In this Article
This article explains the process involved and responses captured while submitting an In Bond application.
Note
Entry Types indicate the ways in which an incoming cargo will further be sent to its intended destination.
In bond process is provided for the imported cargo to enter an entry port without any payment of duties. This inbound shipment can then be transported by a bonded Carrier to another entry port or destination port. This is done once all statutory and regulatory terms are fulfiled.
Functional Flow
Go to Warehouse > Imports > Manifest. Under HBL Details, select HBL Reference. Here the entry types can be specified.
Entry Types in HBL
There are three types of Entry Types in HBL deciding further course of the shipment.
Entry Types | Acronym | Entry Type Code | Description |
Immediate Transportation |
IT | 61 | IT means that the shipment arriving at the port will be immediately transferred to the destination port. This is the default entry type in Logiware which features only local transportation. |
Transportation & Exportation |
TE | 62 | Entering a country, this entry type allows local movement of the consignment within that country before processing the export to another country. |
