Permit to Transfer (PTT)

This article explains the process involved and responses captured while submitting a PTT application.

Note

Permits to Transfer (PTT) are the requests submitted and approved for movements of cargo within port. The authorization procedures dealing with such port movements of cargo require Customs intervention. This has been streamlined using electronic interface that is captured and assisted by the Logiware.

Functional Flow

Go to Warehouse > Imports > Manifest.

Select the Manifest Number and scroll over to the PTT Application section.

Submitting PTT

To submit PTT application, click on Submit PTT button. A new window will appear with all the required details auto-populated from the MBL entry.

Click on Submit.

PTT Responses

Every PTT Application needs to be sent to Customs for approval. This can be traced using the platform with the help of several response codes.

  1. Pending Response

This Response code means that the action performed on the PTT Application is pending for approval.

  1. Event Accepted

This Response code means that the action performed on the PTT Application has been accepted for approval or rejection.

  1. Request Accepted

  1. PTT Cancelled

Click on Cancel PTT to cancel the application submitted. Hence the following response will come.

Once cancelled, the following status will come.

  1. Rejected

Once the application has been rejected, the following response code along with the error message will be provided.

  1. 1W

In case the PTT application gets approved for any lateral movement within the port, the following message will appear.

Note: All the above responses are provided by the platform based on the request made.

Downloading PTT

To view a copy of the PTT Application provided by Customs submitted to them, click on Download Now.

The file preview will be available in a new window as depicted. Click on the download icon to save this copy.

This will have all the necessary details, say, Transfer to and from details, container and vessel number, trucker organization, MBL etc.
