Linking Bookings together

This article explains how to link bookings together.
Note
Why link bookings together?
- Linking bookings together allows you to create a single bill of lading document for a group of bookings.
- Linked bookings also indicate that bookings need to ship together as a group on the same voyage.
Setup
In order to Link Bookings together, you must first create the bookings, and they must meet the following citeria:
- The bookings you intend to link together must have the same Shipper.
- The bookings you intend to link, must be on the same Voyage.
Navigation
Locate the Linked Bookings section in the booking. It will be near the bottom, below the Communications section.
Steps
Linking a Booking
- Click on the Link Bookings button:
The Link Bookings panel will display all of the bookings that are in the same voyage and have the same Shipper as the current booking you are in.
- Click on checkbox(es) of the Bookings you want to link to the current booking:
- The current booking number will display in black text and will be included automatically when you select other bookings.
- The total displayed at the bottom of the weight and volume columns will include all of the selected bookings (and include the current booking as well).
- Once you have made your selection, click on the OK button to save and return to the booking.
- The linkled bookings will display in the Linked Bookings section:
Un-Linking a Booking
- Click on the Link Bookings button:
The Link Bookings panel will appear and display all of the bookings linked together with this booking (including this booking, which will display the booking number in black text).
- Un-check the bookings you want to Un-Link and press the OK button.
- The booking selected will be un-linked from the current booking.
Note
Don't worry if you see the current booking in the list. It will appear in the list along with the selected bookings. It will have a black booking number instead of blue. The purpose for including it is so the total weight and volume can be displayed.
