Viewing Tasks

You will learn how to view Tasks that are assigned to you, your team, or all tasks in your organization.
What is a Task?
A Task is a piece of work or activity in the shipment process. It is essentially a To Do List action item. It can be assigned to one or more persons and can have a due date, priority, and status.
Tip
There are 2 ways that Tasks get created:
- Automation rules can be setup to automatically create Tasks based on the Workflow status that a booking is in. For example, when the workflow reaches a step to "File AES", then an automation rule can automatically create a task to "File AES" and assign it to a user or group of users, and assign the due date based on the cutoff date in the booking. (See article: Using Automation to create Tasks for more details).
- Users can also manually create a Task. Sometimes they may need to create a task that is outside of the normal workflow for a shipment. In these cases, users may manually add a task and assign it to a person or group and designate the due date.
Navigation
There are 2 ways to view Tasks in Logiware:
- View Tasks within a specific booking.
- View and filter Tasks from the Task screen
To view Tasks within a specific booking
First, create a new booking or edit an existing booking.
Next, Click on the Tasks tab:
To view Tasks from the Task screen
Click on Application Switcher > Freight > Tasks
