Feature 1 - Required field configuration for Quotes

Users can now configure certain fields to be required for creating a quote, similar to how the booking required fields currently works.  These fields include:

  • Client
  • PLOR
  • PLOD
  • Charges

In a future release more fields will be made available.  Additional fields can be added to the list upon request as needed.

Feature 2  - Invoices and bills now have multi-currency capability

  • Multiple currencies can be added to an invoice or bill.  
  • As an invoice or bill is made, a single currency must be selected and all charges/costs will be converted to that currency.
  • An invoice/bill can only be sent to QuickBooks in a single currency.
  • An invoice document can print the original currency and the converted currency for each charge, and currency totals as well.

Feature 3 -  Users can now select multiple package types per package line item in FCL containers.

The limitation of having only 1 package type per package line item in a container has been removed.  

Note: The quantity of packages, weight, and volume will apply to the line item and the collective group of packages types for that line item.

Feature 4 -  Container number format and validation.

The following validations have been added to the container number:

  • Container number format will be validated to container 4 alpha characters and 7 integers.
  • For Ocean containers the 4th alpha character must be a “U”
  • The ISO 6341 check digit logic will be applied to the 7th integer digit to verify the check digit matches with the formula.

If any of the validations fail, a warning will be displayed, however, the user will be allowed to continue.

Feature 5 -  Click on booking number to open a booking from the search screen.

Users can now click on the booking to open a booking from the search screen.  Previously the user had to click on the icon to the far right.  This same change applies to Quotes as well.

Feature 6 -  Booking Copy - Do not copy weights, container number, and seal.

When copying an FCL booking, the container number, weights, volume, and seal are no longer copied to the new booking.

Feature 7 -  Hide cutoff dates based on route.

For Port to Port moves, the WH Cutoff and Rail Cutoffs will be hidden.

Feature 8 -  Move References Section higher up in the page.

The reference section has been moved and is now below the Route section.

Feature 9 -  Booking Search - add additional filters and columns.

The following filters and columns have been added to the Booking search:

  • Booking Number
  • Workflow Status
  • Party Names
  • Associated Users

Feature 10 -  Add pre-defined Commodities to Common References.

Predefined commodities have been added to common references so that users can define commodities (Package Descriptions) that are used repeatedly in bookings.  In the next Sprint the user will be able to add these predefined commodities to Goods to prevent re-typing each time.

Feature 11 -  Add commodity filter to rates.

Rates can now be filtered by commodity.  The system will automatically create a filter and include all commodities from the rates in the filter options.

Feature 12 -  Ability to exclude carriers for parties.

In the Control Panel > Party maintenance > Financial tab > Rates section, the user can select ocean carriers to be excluded from rates.  This can be used if certain customers do not want a certain carrier to be included in the quotes or bookings.

Feature 13 -  Integration with Troy 1.0 rates.

The freight module is now integrated with the Troy custom rate and markup API from the 1.0 system.

Feature 14 -  Rate Change Alert.

A rate change alert feature has been added to quotes and bookings.  If a rate will change within the next 30 days, then an alert will appear on the rate tile.  The user can mouse-over the alert icon to view the charge, amount, and date of the change.

Also, when a rate is selected that has a rate change alert, a banner will appear at the top of the booking as well:

Feature 15 -  Add validation for Weight fields.

The following validations have been added to the Goods section weight fields:

  • Net Weight should not be less than Gross.
  • Net or Gross cannot be negative.

Feature 16 -  Expand the size of the Marks field.

The width of the marks field in the Goods section has been expanded to the same size as the goods description field.

Feature 17 -  Add Unit of Measure options (Imperial/metric) for FCL Goods.

A unit of measure selection for imperial or metric has been added to weight and volume fields for FCL packages.

Feature 18 -  Add “Per TEU” charge type.

A charge type of “Per TEU” has been added to Charges and Costs.  

The number of TEU’s for each Unit Type (Container Type) can be set up in the Common References.  The “Per TEU” charge type will multiply the rate entered for the charge or cost times the number of TEU’s for the container type associated with the charge/cost.

Feature 19 -  Add AMS integration.

The freight module has been integrated with the AMS (Automated Manifest System) system.  This is an integration to send AMS filings to US Customs for goods being imported into the USA.

Feature 20 -  Add INTTRA 315 integration.

The freight module has been integrated with INTTRA to receive 315 container status messages.  Carriers within the INTTRA network will send container status messages for any bookings where the shipping instruction (304) messages were sent electronically.  Note: the type of status events varies by carrier, and some carriers even send the status messages even if the shipping instructions are not sent.

Feature 21 -  QuickBooks integration.

The freight module has been integrated with QuickBooks.  Users can send invoices and bills to QuickBooks.  

Setup and mapping capability has also been added for the following items:

  • QuickBooks instances can be setup for each Sub-organization
  • Parties can be mapped to QuickBooks customers and vendors
  • Charge Codes can be mapped to QuickBooks service codes and expense accounts
  • Payment Terms can be mapped to QuickBooks payment terms

The Party, Charge Code, and Payment Term mappings can be done separately for each sub-organization, if needed.

Feature 22 -  Copy user on communications.

The user is now copied automatically on all communications sent from quotes or bookings.

Feature 23 -  Add German format for Party print addresses.

Support for German address formats have been added to the Party print addresses.  If the address country is Germany, then the address format will remove the State and put the Zip Code in front of the City.

Feature 24 - Add “Direct Consignment” to Shipment Options

“Direct Consignment” has been added to Shipment Options in the Shipment Type section of the quote and booking.
