This article will explain how to add, edit, and delete Custom fields.

What is are Custom Fields?

Custom Fields are fields that you add to the Freight system screens in order to customize the system to better meet your process needs.

Can Custom Fields by used in Email Templates, Automation rules, Documents, and Reports?

Yes, a Custom Field is treated like any of the standard fields in the system and can be used in all of the above.

Navigation


Click on Application Selector > Control Panel > Freight Configuration > Booking Configuration

The Freight Configuration - Booking Configuration page will appear:

Adding a New Custom Field


  • To add a new Custom Field, click on the Custom Fields tab of the Booking Configuration screen:

  • Next, Choose the Shipment Type and Shipment Direction that the new field will apply to.
  • Click on the section in the Booking screen to add the Custom Field:

  • To Add a new field, click the Add New Field button, enter the field Label, select the Input Type, and enter a Default Value.

  • Click the Save button to save the new field.

Adding Fields Configuration for Booking/Quote


  • To add a new Field Configuration, click on the Field Configuration tab of the Booking Configuration screen:

  • Next, Choose the Shipment Type and Shipment Direction that the new field will apply to.
  • Click on the section in the Booking screen to add the Field Configuration:

  • To Add a new field configuration, click the Add New Field button, enter the required details.

Select/deselect the Required option in any added field to make it mandatory in the freight configuration.

  • Click the Save button to save the new field configuration.
